RSOC RACE TEAM TAKES FIRST PLACE
IN THE 2015-2016 SKI SEASON!
The RSOC Race Team has completed another enjoyable and successful ski season. For the season, RSOC finished FIRST in the Crescent Ski Council Eastern Division, after winning a tie breaker versus the Charlotte ski club (congratulations!) Our race team also placed an impressive second place in the Crescent Cup challenge held at Silvercreek in early March.
Also, individual awards were presented to:
Jenna Christensen — Shelly Lassiter Memorial Award (given for the fastest two-day combined time at the Crescent Cup competition) second place, female; and
Elena Ryzhikova — Tom Broughton Memorial Award (highest individual season points) third place, female, and Most Improved Racer Award second place, female.
Congratulations, Jenna and Elena!
We sincerely thank the members of the RSOC Race Team who serve as club ambassadors, representing the RSOC on each race day they attend. And, congratulations to all members of the RSOC Race Team for their many accomplishments throughout the 2015-2016 race season!
CSC SPRING CONVENTION
21 RSOC members enjoyed the CSC Spring Convention in Myrtle Beach from April 22-24, with good-spirited competition at the Beach Olympics, and excellent dance parties on Friday and Saturday.
At the Beach Olympics, and we congratulate:
Mini Golf: Charlene Flahiff Third, Women.
Beach Run: Charlene Flahiff Second, Women.
Ladder Ball: Tom Garrett and Sharyn Kloster Second.
Tennis: Tara Griffin Second.
Golf: Ron Scott’s team Second.
Volley Ball: EJ Secola's Team (mixed club team) First.
RSOC also earned a top prize for the costume contest at Saturday night’s theme party “Wild, Wild West”, with Sharyn Kloster and Tom Garrett awarded Best Couple.
