Crew Clinic is back with a new twist this year! The 2010 version of this always great trip will be held in mid-September to coincide with the Oriental Cup Regatta. Detailed plans have not yet been finalized; but, we expect that participants will have the opportunity to choose a boat that is competing in the Regatta; or, should their competitive spirit be down a bit after a late night at the Tiki Bar, they may also choose to relax on one of the spectator boats. Saturday night dinner will be included in the price of the trip (last year’s Regatta featured a very nice surf and turf combo). There will be live music for dancing both Friday and Saturday nights. We also hope and expect that most folks will have an opportunity for a short sail again on Sunday morning, following a gathering for Bloody Marys on the deck.

Please do bear in mind that there are no guarantees of getting out on the water (on either day) as we will still be in hurricane season; but, even in years where no sailing has occurred, there have been no complaints of anyone having a bad time . . .

Finally, while the calendar does not show a full moon until September 23, it’s been rumored that full moons can sometimes happen early in Oriental if conditions are just right. Be sure to attend the July RSOC meeting for more details and to sign up for this trip.

A pre-trip party (date and location to be announced) will be held to choose, boats, distribute information, arrange carpools, etc. Not that the trip does not include lodging.

Cost: $105 RSOC members; $120 non-members (cost does not include lodging). Cancellation Policy: $25 cancellation fee through August 31; $50 cancellation fee September 1 through September 14; No refunds or cancellations after September 14.
